They wanted to take over all of the ohio valley for there self. The major event that happen in this war was, The British implement a plan to defeat the French. Moncton successfully captures Fort Beausejour, Major General Edward Braddock troops are defeated in the Battle of the Monongahela, and William Johnson’s troops stop the French advance at Lake George. ReplyDeleteThis is a letter to inform you on the French and Indian war. During this war many things has happened such as . . . In 1753, the Ohio Valley was seized by French troops from the South. In 1755, the British came up with a plan to defeat the French. Moncton captured Fort Beausejour.Major General Edward Braddock troops are defeated in the Battle of the Monongahela, and William Johnson’s troops stopped the French advance at Lake George. In 1757, the French led by Montcalm captured Fort William Henry. Montcalm’s actions made his Indian allies who captured and killed hundreds of unarmed British. October 7, 1763 : King George III signed the Proclamation of 1763 reserving land west of the Allegheny Mountains for India. Colonists refused to use imported English goods. This eventually lead to the American Revolution .
